I wanted to find a gas stainless cooktop, with some kind of grill or special burner. I scoured the web, and also checked the local want advertiser. A dealer in California, University Electric, has a closeout page with some great deal on high end appliances. They had several items that I was interested in, but even with heavy discounting, most of the items were just a little too expensive for our budget. One of the items looked promising, a 36 inch model by St. George. I had never heard of them, so I called the shop, and got the owner. It turns our that St. George is an Australian company, and had pulled out of the U.S. market. The shop purchased  all of the inventory. What really intrigued  me was that one of the burners was designed for a wok. I was interested, and after a few days of searching, I called back and ordered it. When it came, we were very pleasantly surprised: now that it is installed and we are using it, we are very pleased with its use. The high output wok burner is awsome!

When turned up, both an inner and outer burner light, and it was too much for my small wok-like pan. I ordered a 20" steel wok and lid from a online merchant. It is huge, but very fun to cook with . Best of all, the food stays in the pan, and we can turn the burner all the way up!
